Snow: Nice to see, nice to hold, once the excitement gone, what's left is turmoil...

Winter is officially here, well...since the past few weeks to be exact. It was snowing everywhere. Some people regard winter is the most romantic season. Hmmm...if you are one of them, wait until you finish reading this entry.

When it's snowing, it may give you the romantic feeling (I don't know how to relate weather to feeling, but maybe you can relate it to any movie scene etc). Ground, roofs, trees are all covered with pure white snow. The scenery is so beautiful, subhanallah. Check this out for amazing winter pictures

However, the excitement is only last for a few hours, or maybe days. After that, it is just chaos. You will encounter a lot of problems, especially when you are planning to go somewhere else. There is disruption in public transport services, either delay or cancel. Yesterday I took 5 hours to get to Cardiff, when it is usually only 2 hours in normal days.

Trying to get to school or stores is as difficult as climbing the Everest (exaggerate sgt la kan...). The pavements are icy and slippery. I wish I have a pair of ski poles.

On my way back from Cardiff yesterday, I saw a guy put on a pair of rubber grips under his shoes, and he walked on the pavement confidently, unlike the rest of us. I will definitely buy them!

The ice grippers
There may be no snow for the next few days at my place, but the temperature is expected to drop to -10 oC. I'll just hibernate in my room until it gets warmer. =)

Notwithstanding, I am grateful to Allah for giving me the chance to witness snow. The chaos will resolve, the ice will melt, the snowman will 'die' soon....so, I should enjoy one of the magnificent creation of Allah while it last.
